Start with the catcher, not the robot
The fastest way to debug a Moon Sweepers robot vacuum placement is to decide where a capsule should end before placing the machine. Put the catcher or depot at the end of a route you can see, then leave enough room to inspect the intake and output.
- Choose a flat, uncluttered cleaning sector close to the first delivery loop.
- Place the catcher where a capsule can arrive without a belt crossing a doorway or machine footprint.
- Keep J.O.O.N.A.S. inside the sector it needs to clean, with a readable path back to the catcher.
- Send one small test load before expanding the route or adding splitters.
Why the small test matters
Patch 1.0.4 notes describe J.O.O.N.A.S. continuing to clean away from a player and sending capsules to the nearest catcher. That makes distance, competing catchers and route visibility important when diagnosing a placement issue. Do not copy a screenshot with hidden assumptions about a different build.
See the patch 1.0.4 notes and the Steam community announcements before rebuilding a large automation base.
