Moon Sweepers co-op guide: shared upgrades, crew roles and version checks

How to organise a Moon Sweepers crew without relying on launch-week rules that were changed by patch 1.0.3.

Patch-aware noteAll players should be on the same current build before diagnosing a multiplayer issue.

Start with one shared job

The store page supports online co-op for up to 16 players, but a large lobby does not remove the need for a clear first route. Give the crew one short delivery loop: one group cleans, one group carries, and one person watches the depot or build path.

Patch 1.0.3 changed the upgrade conversation

The developer’s Steam community notes say upgrades became shared across the crew in patch 1.0.3. If an old guide tells every player to purchase the same upgrade independently, check its date before following it.

  • Confirm the host and crewmates are on the same version.
  • Agree on the first depot and belt route before expanding.
  • Use host controls carefully; a kick or ban is a session-management tool, not a progression shortcut.
  • Record the patch number when reporting a bug so the result can be reproduced.

What this guide does not promise

We do not claim cross-play, console support or a universal crew meta without a current platform source. The current store listing is the source for platform and feature availability.
